When I was deciding the subject matter of the opening chapter of my new book – How To Become A Journalist – I thought long and hard about it.
Eventually I plumped for focusing in on the personal qualities you need to have to work as a journalist.
After all, anyone who is considering what career path to follow will only choose a profession they think they are suited for.
I came up with nine individual traits which are specifically important, whether you are working in newspapers or broadcast journalism.
I’m not saying that you can’t do the job if you don’t possess these particular qualities.
But if you have a good number of them then you can be sure that journalism is a career you are well suited to.
The book, which is aimed at school pupils, sixth-formers, university students and others who are considering a career change, is available as a paperback or an eBook on the Amazon website right HERE.
